Boatshow

Went to the Cleveland Boat Show a couple of weeks ago at the IX Center. I don't really like the general boat shows much, since the sailboats are usually only about 10% of the total. There are some boating places: chandleries, marinas, etc. but the rest are powerboats of one type or another. The "strictly sail" ones are a lot better.

This wasn't too bad, though. Several brokerages with lots of used sailboats. There are a variety of interesting older boats available, and fiberglass boats don't age very quickly. Many of the older boats tended to be more heavily built than recent ones: a bit slower, but strong and long-lasting.
